Other Information

Monday was the first day of activities. The first activity base was team games which started at 12:30. The base games consisted of Volleyball, Football, Ultimate Frisbee and Giant Crab Football which was probably the most interesting of all the games. Fortunately there wasn"esingle;t much of a competitive nature involved in the games and everybody enjoyed themselves.

After Team Games we moved onto Handicraft, Some took to it better than others, Chris flew ahead of the rest of the group by finishing his plaited wristband and moving onto a headband. After Handicraft and before dinner we had a free period during which the sky turned almost as black as night and we were treated to a magnificent thunder and lightning storm complimented with a downpour of heavy rain. During this period Gadget & Ben took cover in the Handicraft Shelter and learned how to use Camp Yoyos, The preparation of leather and the tying of certain knots. We also took the opportunity to tell them about the Isle of Man and our cultural differences.
