Michigan 2004 Camporee Log
4th August 2004
- The camp enjoys it"esingle;s first well cooked meal.
- Bob floats right through a rather prickly bush in a rubber ring.
At 09:30 we met at the main car park before being packed like sardines into a series of rather dodgy busses. The trip to Rifle River took approximately 30 Minutes during which we sung songs, talked rubbish and had a toilet paper fight, and this was before we even set off. The water we travelled in was cold apparently but certainly didn't seem so! The scenery was good although the rocks in the shallow areas weren't so pleasant!
After the Tube Trip we returned to the site for Team Games. While others played, Rob, Gadget, Sam, Bob, and Shwack prepared the Manx Broth for our friendship night.
After preparation, Sam, Gadget, Shwack, and Ben visited the Handicraft area, where Gadget finally mastered the art of Leather Plaiting. After dinner we went back to the rifle range for another opportunity to shoot and then onto the Archery range until the sun set and it went dark.
