Steffan is re-christened "Stephanie" and the Germans first English words were "Mop" (Much to Chris's frustration)

 Other Information

Friday, our opening day of this Expedition into what is for most of us, unchartered territory. The group met at Ronaldsway Airport, Casletown, Isle of Man at Midday, before grouping up and boarding a plane to Dublin, Ireland. From Dublin Airport we were met by a group of scouts from 29th Dutton Scout Group and taken by minibus to the "Den" as they preferred to call it. The accomodation was shared with a group of scouts from Duesseldorf in Germany who were staying their own tents.

Shortly after arriving we decided to break the ice with a game of football, while some of the wimps decided to sit it out on the bank and talk. The match results were 12-9 to us but it was all in good humour. After football the german group introduced us to a game called "German Bulldog". Initally interpreted as a rip-off of British Bulldog we were slow to realise that the rules were very much different.
