Scout Shop Day!

What an inspiration. The BSA Scout Shop we visited certainly was, it had everything imaginable for outfitting a Scout Troop and providing activities for them. I think pretty much everybody bought something for either the camporee itself or for taking back home to friends, family or private collections.

After the Scout Shop we proceeded to the Shopping Mall. We spent 2 hours in there browsing all manner of different stores, staring in awe at the crazily low price tags affixed to everything. We chatted with the owner of a store selling skateboarding equipment who couldn't believe how much things cost back home and suddenly considered himself very lucky!

We later started an hours drive to the Ice Skating Rink. The activity itself was interesting to say the least. Some people (Gadget) spent more time on the floor than on the skates, but others had either done it before or quickly got the hang of it. Unfortunately we didn't have much time on the ice because Hockey training started at 2:00 so we quickly moved onto our next destination... Carbella's!!!

Carbella's is an incredible store. It's sells Camping Equipment, Angling Equipment, Clothing, Boats, Hunting Accessories, Guns, Cross-Bows, An Aquarium and a Firing Range. We spent a good 2 hours there, Steffan and Paul bought angling equipment for the camp. Sam and Charlie played with the more dangerous wares (See Below!) and Rob bought enough camping equipment to take him well into the next century.

After a hard days shopping we went our separate ways and spent the evening at home with our families.
