 Days News

The Perseverance Award goes to Shwack for completing a 21 Mile Heritage Trail in a day.

The person most in need of a kicking is identified as Steffan for not getting up until 11:00.

 Other Information

Today was originally scheduled for Tuesday, and then Thursday before eventually happening on the Friday. Despite the delay the trail began at 06:15 with seven members of the contingent taking on the challenge. The group hiked approximately 8 Miles to a resting station set up by Larry & Rick where we enjoyed a fabulous homemade lunch. It was at this point that a member of the group retired although his willingness to attempt was most definitely noted. Some people meanwhile (no names mentioned) were still in bed at this point. The group continued to march on for the remaining 13 Miles to the finishing post for tea and medals. A task that everybody managed to fulfil.

The Heritage Trail finishers are as follows:

Sam Bentham

Paul Ellison

Ben Lambden

Luke Simpson

Lee Stennett

Robert Thomson

Commendations also go out to Owen Birch who completed half of the Trail with an enlightening perseverance.

After the Trail we had a good meal with our families and then Luke, Owen, Steffan and Paul visited a local Coffee Bar for some great coffee and local entertainment provided by an open microphone.
